Emira

The heart of the Emira V6 is a 3.5-liter supercharged V6, sourced from Toyota and tuned by Lotus. It delivers its 400 hp in a linear, mechanical way that feels nothing like a modern turbo engine.

This car uses the six-speed automatic. Lotus kept hydraulic power steering where most modern sports cars have gone electric, so the steering gives an unfiltered read of the road. The styling borrows from the Evija electric hypercar: sculpted air intakes, a tight cabin and muscular rear haunches give it real supercar presence.

The Emira's cabin is built around the driver. Supportive sport seats, a squared-off steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster face the driver, and the climate controls use real physical switches. The interior is far better finished and more comfortable than earlier Lotus models, with cupholders and door bins that make it easy to live with day to day.

The supercharged 3.5-liter V6 makes 400 hp and 317 lb-ft, sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic. The Emira reaches 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and tops out at 290 km/h. Steering is hydraulically assisted and tuned for road feel, and Lotus offers a Touring chassis for daily comfort or a firmer Sport setup.
